Want to cut ties to any length desired? These 16" long strips available in bulk quantities are the same size as our regular White Pine individual ties. Cut them to any length needed.
Mt. Albert tie stock is cut from the highest quality White Pine available. Cut to consistent dimensions, with a tolerance of +/- .003" (less than the thickness of a sheet of paper), this material is ideally suited for all scratch building projects.
These HO scale, 4"x9" tie strips are available in bulk quantities, 16" (406 mm) long pieces.

I prefer balasting the ties for my turnouts before installing the rails to yield uniform balast between the ties and under the rails of my hand built turnouts.
I prefer the appearance of individual wood ties between the pc board ties. The pine strips are essential if you want to avoid the frustration of wasting the excess material if you use the precut wood turnout ties most of which have to be shortened.
These strips allow cutting the various lengths of ties required
