Mt. Albert scale stripwood is produced from the highest quality basswood available. Cut to consistent dimensions, with a tolerance of +/- .003" (less than the thickness of a sheet of paper), this material is ideally suited for all scratch building projects.
Our method of cutting basswood produces clean, fuzz-free wood strips ready to use. We use the finest raw materials available, free of knots and discoloration.
These O scale, 8"x8" strips are sold in a package of 6, 16" (406 mm) long pieces.
Each strip is 64 O scale feet long (19.5 O scale meters). This package contains 384 O scale feet of material (117 O scale meters).

NOTE: This product was sold under the part number MA332P12 (12" strips) or MA332P24 (24" strips) in the Mt. Albert Scale Lumber catalog. This product's Fast Tracks part number is now ST-O-8x8-16.

How much can one say about "stripwood"? I have been modelling fairly seriously since 1970. Through the years I have, like most, graduated from simple to more advanced wood kits, and much scratch building. Mt. Albert has always been my source for the finest of stripwood. Very happy to see the legend continue!
