Now anyone can build virtually perfect #6 frog and switch points for turnouts simply and easily - Guaranteed! With the Fast Tracks PointForm filing jig, modelers of all skill levels can construct realistic looking, better-performing frog or switch points that can reduce derailments and simplify this otherwise difficult step in building a switch. The PointForm works by holding the rail at a precise angle so that points can be filed. Its use is simple, slide the rail into the end marked "Point" to form switch points or the end marked "Frog" to form frog points. Tighten the cap screws using the supplied 5/32" Allan wrench and file the rail flush with the tool's edge, and you are done!

Get perfect results every time!

Frog points formed with the PointForm tool will produce two symmetrical halves of the frog, making placement of the points into a Fast Tracks assembly fixture very easy; slide the two rails forward in the grooves until they meet.

Points constructed with the PointForm tool are ideally suited for creating points for Fast Tracks made trackwork but can also be used for hand-laid trackwork built without a Fast Tracks assembly fixture. This PointForm filing tool can be used to construct frog and switch points for #6 switches using Code 70, 83 & 100 rail and will work with all scales and gauges up to O. Each PointForm filing jig comes complete with a 5/32" Allen wrench for tightening the clamping screws and will last for thousands of uses.

I have a #4 PointForm Filing Jig I bought years ago and it has been great and a super help. If you get nothing else from Fast Tracks get these. I was expecting the same product when I ordered the #6 jig, but I was surprised. The quality and look of the new product are super. Well made. Its impressive. They didn't need to improve it. The old one was great, but the quality of the new product is impressive. Well done!!

Tried a couple "free hand" points; yeah decided to buy the PointForm Jig. This jig saves time, lots of time! Very easy to use and near impossible to make a mistake with it.

I've used many of Fast Tracks products, and not found a clunker in the bunch. All very well designed, and extremely useful. In building my layout, the thing I most dreaded was building turnouts/switches; to my surprise, it's now my most enjoyable and satisfying activity in creating my dream layout (who'd a thought !). Thank you Fast Tracks ! This tool makes filing frog and point angles a snap !

I purchased the #6 Turnout assembly fixture after handlaying about a dozen turnouts using paper templates. Once I received it, I realized that the PointForm tool would improve the quality of my work immensely. I placed another order for the PointForm tool, and reviewed all the videos. It took about two hours of time over a couple of days, but while those first solder joints aren't as neat as they could be, a truck rolls smoothly through the very first turnout I created, without requiring any tuning of the turnout. I highly recommend buying both the Assembly Fixture and PointForm at the same time! Making turnouts is much, much easier using the Assembly Fixture and PointForm than going it alone. 29 more turnouts to go!

This takes the guesswork out of forming points. Simply slide the track into the jig per instructions and file down. Comes out right every time.

A must-have to make perfect turnouts. The angles are formed with very little effort. Resulting points function so nicely. In my opinion this is a must-have tool. Do the math on the cost of these tools compared to the cost of buying commercial turnouts, and you sure don't have to make very many to be ahead of the game from a financial standpoint, and the big bonus is the turnouts are SO SUPERIOR to commercial ones, no matter what the brand.

What can I say!! This tool speaks for itself! I have built my own switches for a few decades, and never used a tool like this. I wish I had gotten it MUCH earlier.... You can count on me acquiring the other fixtures, and tools, one at a time, until I have the ones I need the most. Probably about 4 sets! lol!!! Keep up the great work, and product, fellas!!!

This jig will make it much easier for me to make consistent frogs and points. So far only have made test pieces, but from what I have seen so far I am going to be really pleased. For sure I would buy it again
