Unfinished N white pine wood turnout ties by Mt. Albert Scale Lumber are an excellent match for turnouts built with your Fast Tracks assembly fixture. They can also be used to construct any handlaid turnout or crossing.
Height and thickness produced to very high tolerances (+/-.004"), the highest in the industry. These ties are cut from high quality White Pine selected specifically by Fast Tracks for its ability to take spikes without splitting.

They wont split when spiked, they are accurate in scale dimensions, look good even when not weathered/colored. This is very good quality wood, and i will be using it to make my entire layout.

Great products with exact dimensions. BUT, Scale Length 16' is to short for the last few ties needed on most of the turnouts. So, there is also a need for Scale Length of 17'.

I'd add that they stain really well. One jar of brown diluted about 4 to 1 (ish) water to paint, one jar grey, one jar black. Soak them in the jars for 24 to 48 hours. Remove and put them on a few layers of paper towels. (Save the leftover paint in the jars for next batch.) Dry after a few days. Mix all the (dried) different color ties together in a container . . . or, keep them separate--your choice. Now you have various tie colors as you desire.
