HO, 7 scale inches (0.08" / 2mm) thick pre-gapped, copper cladded PC Board Crossties are designed to match the height of the wood ties used for HO scale straight and curved trackwork and are pre-gapped for DC and DCC compatibility.

Fast Tracks CopperHead PC Board ties are machined to shape rather than sheared or stamped, producing a perfectly flat tie with no twisting or warping and very clean, crisp edges. The copper cladding is applied to both sides of the tie with double isolation gaps cut close to the rail on one side, making it easy to disguise the gap during final finishing.

  • 7 scale inches (0.08" / 2mm) thick - matches HO wood crossties
  • Pre-Gapped - eliminates the need to hand file the gaps into the ties
  • Double Gapped - with gaps cut close to the rail to help disguise them
  • Cut to length - no further preparation required
  • Machined, not stamped - perfectly flat with no twisting and clean edges

Sold on a fret of 33 ties.

I had been struggling to build curved diamonds that had each corner (intersection of crossing routes) insulated from the remaining active rails. I was able to use the fast tracks PC board ties to build the curved route and the crossing route, make the necessary cuts, assemble the total diamond with relative ease.

I am using the 2mm PC board as a conductive platform for electrical pickups on passenger cars and cabooses. This was suggested in a Nov 2016 article by Mark Juett (The Pulse of DCC) in the NMRA magazine. The technique described works well!

LOVE 'EM. Pre-gapped is very convenient. I'm not hand laying in this application but using them to hold rail in gauge on module ends. Easy to work with and well made. Plus where else are you going to get them, and a such a good price?

Very precisely made, absolutely uniform. They blend in very well with wooden ties becoming invisible when painted/weathered.

Every PC tie is accurately made and consistent from fret to fret! Fast shipping and fantastic customer service!

The use of the PC tie frets are very efficient to use and extremely precise. Great product. My only concern is that the the ties are provided with the two gaps on the top only, and not the bottom. I have found that an errant rail spike can cause a short if both the top and THE bottom are not gapped, so I have to manually use the tools to cut that gap on the bottom of the ties. It would make the product even better if both top AND bottom were gapped for safety I also find that I need to spend some additional time sanding the ends of the ties after cutting them from the fret to insure they always fit the gig, and scuffing the top surface to improve the soldering. I wish there was a slightly better way to save time doing these two steps, but all else is just a world class product!

Very helpful hand laying track, and easily hidden by painting the pc board ties after gluing in place before ballasting and adding rail….

These worked great for curved cuts for lift out sections. Easy to use and I’m glad I used them for my layout.

It’s been quite a while since I bought my last batch, back then they came loose!
Now that they come this way, they are easy to manage until ready for use.
