New Fast Tracks Website Launched

After two years of design and development, the new Fast Tracks website is live with many new features and improvements! Keeping up with the ever changing requirements of a fully functional, independent eCommerce website is no small task; it's a never ending process. Sometimes we can make small tweaks as needed, but after a few years, it usually becomes necessary to build a new one from scratch. This latest design follows all the recommended practices and requirements needed to host a secure, easy to use website. We think you're really going to like it!

Fast Track's latest state-of-the-art website will make finding just what you're looking for quick and easy. Our new filtering system and clutter-free design will allow you to view only the products you are interested in with a few quick clicks. Here are a few of the new features we've added…

An exciting new addition to the site is our Supplies Calculator on the fixture product pages. Not sure what you need to order in addition to your fixture? Simply add the number of switches or length of track you want to build to the calculator, and it will be calculated for you. A simple click and those items are added to the cart. We have configured this to calculate the consumable items needed to build track. Other items, like filing tools etc., can be manually added as needed. The calculator will work out how many QuickSticks and individual wood ties are needed for the number of switches you've selected. You may only want to use either QuickSticks or Wood Ties, so whichever you don't wish to use will need to be manually adjusted in the calculator before adding to the cart.

Now, in addition to their own categories on the site, we've also moved the popular Printed Tie Templates and all relevant documents to the product pages to make them easier to find.

We've replaced our Free Shipping offer and WayPoints program with new site-wide discounts. This will allow all our customers, regardless of where they are located, to gain discounts on their orders.

A new Cart Level Discount system has been added. As the value of the items in your cart increase, so do the discounts available at checkout. Check your cart to see the discount amount being applied to your order as you shop.

The biggest improvement, however, is the addition of a fast and easy filtering system. Finding a specific product is now only a matter of selecting the relevant features of the product, and just the products you want will be displayed. Give it a try, we suspect you will really like it.
