My first HO turnout turned out so wonderfully that I did not know if there would be much of a learning curve for subsequent turnouts. Thus far (after six turnouts) there has not been the learning curve expected because each one is so very precise!

The kit is designed so that the frogs are isolated and DCC ready. Having scratch built a number of crossings, I highly recommend the Fast Tracks Diamond series crossings for ease of construction, for great detail, and for accuracy.

So far I have built six turnouts and I have to say the Fast Tracks kit have made the work very satisfying. The filing jig makes the preparation of the frog rails and the point blades a simple matter.

I have handlaid track but never considered handbuilding a turnout. Built my first Fast Tracks #6 turnout this weekend while watching football. Couldn't believe that I started and finished my first turnout in less time than I spent watching the game.

Your new process for producing copper ties is a Great Leap Forward compared to the old cutoff method. The ties are flat and the edges very clean...minimal filing required.
